Understanding settings sections

There are two ways of accessing these settings, as described below:

  • 1. The recommended way is by accessing the admin menu > XT Plugins > Woo Floating Cart and select the settings section.

                                                                    or -

  • 2. Another way is by accessing Admin menu > Appearance > Customize > Woo Floating Cart and you can see all the settings sections.

Before getting any deeper into each setting, let’s understand what these settings section covers.

General: This section contains quick and fewer settings.

Cart Settings: This section contains positions related settings to the floating cart. These settings let you positioned the floating cart on the page. These settings are so precise that you can customize the cart perfect the way you want it with a live preview.

Trigger Settings: Trigger settings will let you add a trigger function to other HTML elements. For example, if you want to have a complete customized floating cart button. You can create your own and set the trigger settings for the button to open the cart. This section also helps to position and modify the look and feel of the default floating cart button.

Cart Header: A header message on a floating cart can be enabled and customized from this settings section. There are settings for message background colour, font colour and various icons options for the close button.

Cart Body: This section only contains colour options for floating cart body.

Cart Product: The Cart Product settings section has more than 20 settings/options to customize the product in a floating cart. You can enable/disable the various fields like product SKU, quantity fields, remove product button etc. It is also possible to resize the elements or change the colour schemes of the elements.

Cart Footer: The floating cart has two elements on the footer, Checkout Button and the close button icon. The Cart Footer section has settings to customize these two elements. It is also possible to change the checkout button into the cart page, which let it redirect to the cart instead of the checkout page.

Cart Coupons: This section will let you add and customize the coupon field in the floating cart.

Suggested Products: This section helps to do the up-sell and cross-sell by showing product suggestions on the floating cart below the cart items.

Cart Menu Item: This option let you add the cart button on the menu. You can select any menu (primary, secondary, footer) to display the cart button. The cart button will then trigger the floating cart on the page.

Cart Trigger Shortcode: The previous option will add the cart button on the menu, whereas this option will assist in creating a complete customized button to trigger the floating cart or even link the button to other pages like cart or checkout. You can customize the look and feel of the button including icon, font colour, font size etc. of your choice.

Visibility: Visibility settings helps to make sure that the floating cart is visible when required and not hidden or overlapped by other elements on the site. It also has options to display even an empty cart or hide the floating cart on selected pages.

Typography: The name of the settings section is self-explanatory enough. The Typography section contains all the typography related settings of the woo floating cart like font family, font size, style, colour etc.

Cart Extras: The cart extra section is helpful in extending woo floating cart for faster checkout. You can enable checkout form or PayPal express checkout from here.

JS API: This section is only a JavaScript API reference for various floating cart. It can be used to manipulate or determine the situation of the floating cart option.
